Egyptian Collection - "Tutankhamun's" golden mask.
Tutankhamun (1343-1325 BC), Egyptian pharaoh of the 18th dynasty and the son of Akhenaton. He became pharaoh at the age of 8 and ruled until his death at the age of 19. This figurine was referenced from his famous mask, which was beaten from two seperate sheets of gold, consistent in thickness and joined by hammering. The mask was subsequently embellished by chasing, burnishing and by the addition of inlay work.
Made of resin and hand painted.
